The true teachings of Jesus

1 Corinthians 2:15 But he that is spiritual judgeth all things, yet he himself is judged of no man.

1 Timothy 2:12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence.
Oh please, give me a break.

You had better go back and study why the women in Corinth were told to keep silent in 1 Timothy 2:12, first mentioned in 1 Corinthians 14:34 as it is about exercising the gifts in public service that are edifying to the whole body. These Corinthian women were out of order disrupting the service by asking questions and speaking selfish prophesies not given to them to speak by the Holy Spirit. But this needs to be another thread as we have had many on this topic.

The bible teaches-God did all the powerful things through Jesus-Acts 2:22, 1 Cor 8:5-6-- so no he was not God. He is Gods son.
Simply because you don't understand that Jesus was both God's son and God (with the same spirit) doesn't mean that it isn't true.

You have a both body and a mind. So which one is you and which one isn't you?

I am very happy that I don't live in the Corinth of the first century! People that cite those verses are just trying to recreate the law of the Old Covenant and make all women into second-class, silenced people. They conveniently forget Galatians 3:28, "There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female—for all of you are one in Christ Jesus."

Hey, if you want to believe there will only be 144,000 people in the coming kingdom out of billions... That's cool. There are many many people who play with snakes in the name of Jesus... Your in good company!

Paul
Where did I say that there will only be 144,000 as I believe it was keiw1 that said that. I also said many play around with deadly snakes as they are actually tempting fate as many have died from this foolishness by misunderstanding what Jesus said in Mark 16:18

Prov 8:22--produced me as the beginning of his way( creation) verse 24 brought forth with labor pains. Coll 1:15-The FIRSTBORN of all creation. The only begotten means-created direct first and last. Your religion lives in errors to mislead.
Pro 8:22 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.

The word possessed in that verse does not mean created. In the full context of Proverbs 8 is about Jesus being that of wisdom and being the author of wisdom even before the foundation of the world.

When was Jesus called Immanuel?
Isa 7:14 Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel.

Isa 9:6 For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

I was only asking you a question, So, by what you are saying is that only 144,000 generational Jews will be found in the New Jerusalem when it is ushered down from heaven after this present earth and heaven are passed away?

I may have misunderstood what you said by asking you a question, nothing more, nothing less.

I think I did in post #204. Although it could be a thread of it's own that many of us have been involved in many times so not really led to start a new thread on this.

Do you believe a father and son have the same nature? Yes, Jesus is God’s Son and 1 Cor 8:6 is just one proof of many that he is also deity. Acts 2:22 does not preclude Jesus being God. You might want to look up Phil 2:5-8.

John 1:1-18 shows that the Son preexisted for all eternity and so is deity. This is supported by 1 Cor 8:6 and Col 1:16-17. Thomas recognized this and called Jesus his Lord and his God. All the disciples recognized it and worshiped him as was appropriate. And they weren’t the only ones either.

Then we have Phil 2:5-8 which not only states that Jesus was God in nature, he chose to empty himself and become human for our salvation. In becoming human, he functionally subordinated himself to the Father.
1Cor 15:24-28--Jesus must hand back the kingdom to his God and Father( at conclusion of Rev 20) and subject himself= forever.--God does not have a God.

Jesus has a God and will be in subjection to His God and Father( 1Cor 15:24-28)= forever. God does not have a God.

I know the Hebrew scholars will not say it translates possessed. Demons possess, God doesnt.

Isaiah 9:6--His name means something different than him. Like at Heb 1:3-4--Without inheriting a name above the angels, he is equal to them. He inherited his name by his God and Father doing all the works through him-Acts 2:22, 1Cor 8:5-6. Aswell-John 5:30--. He can do 0 of his own inititive. He is not God. He only does the Fathers will. That is how they are one= in purpose.

Jesus has a God and will be in subjection to His God and Father( 1Cor 15:24-28)= forever. God does not have a God.
You have head knowledge about God, but do you know Him personally? Can you say He is your friend? Do you commune with Him at all, or is it all doctrine? Just an intellectual excercise?

And we know that the Son of God has come and has given us an understanding, that we may know Him who is true; and we are in Him who is true, in His Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God and eternal life. (1 Jn. 5:20 NKJ)
