Thoughts on WHO?

Yep.

. " (1 Corinthians 9:5-7 NASB)

.
You listed the wrong scripture it is 2 Corinthians
Do you go to Church to receive blessings?
If you do then you go for the wrong reasons…Blessings are a byproduct of being obedient. Deuteronomy 28
We assemble to strengthen the body which glorifies God 1 Corinthians 14:26

2 Corinthians 9:5-7
So I thought it necessary to urge the brethren that they would go on ahead to you and arrange beforehand your previously promised bountiful gift, so that the same would be ready as a bountiful gift and not affected by covetousness. 6 Now this I say, he who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. 7 Each one must do just as he has purposed in his heart, not grudgingly * or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
Covetousness- inordinately or wrongly desirous of wealth or possessions; greedy.

The scripture stated not to be affected by covetousness .When your sowing is motivated by your payoff then that is exactly what this scripture is saying not to do
Compulsion 1. the act of constraint; coercion.( to use force in gaining compliance),

You stated.
You have to sow to receive in abundance (I think a Lamborghini falls into the abundance category) The more you sow the more you reap. How can one sow as to receive that kind of abundance?

This is coercion …….. This is not an attempt to be obedient to God it is an attempt to get God to comply so you get what you want. Your motive is self serving and has nothing to do with pleasing God

The fruits of this world
Fade away
They cause
Hurt and pain
Rot and Decay
The end is misery
I rejoice in the Joy of the Lord
Your joy is everlasting
All I need I find in You
Thank you for loving me
Thank you for letting me see
You!

Jesus your lover, I guess I would have to be female to get it, very strange. If you follow and are close to him, then all good.

I don't know if nuns feel the same way I do, or what? Never met anyone else that has these feelings. Not sexual in nature, but husband in nature. Thankfully my earthly husband is okay with it. Jesus picks up where my earthly husband drops the ball.

Some people when they :study and :readbible begin to lose focus on the Lamb they should be following.

Their doctrines become as a :whirl

:thinking

But did they know that the :cross can become a stumbling block :thud to them.

Oh yes, the same chief cornerstone can also be a stumbling block :eek2

But the Lord hath left unto us a promise :pray for those who are not :sleep

And when your heart shall turn to your first love; Then he shall :bath

When He fills you with the knowledge of His Glory, then we shall :sohappy and :boing

:amen

US, Earthly Husbands never drop the ball, we just set it down for a bit to think. To the untrained eye, it just may look as if we might have dropped it.

:)

We agree ............ I too embrace that line of psalm 23............ He continues to say He provides all in all situation seems sinful not to trust Him

I don't know if I am spiritualizing it. With my lover I feel energized, excited, like something wonderful could happen at any moment! That is how I feel about Jesus. Weird, huh?
I prefer to say "lover of my soul". I don't believe there is, or should be, one iota of the suggestion of a literal sexual or physical relationship with Jesus. "Lover" all by itself does give that suggestion in our language and culture.

And so you can see, none of this changes the fact that God said if you sow bountifully, you will reap bountifully. Just because some people have bad intentions that doesn't change the truth. The church is good at thinking this way, though. For example, just because some people may keep a literal Sabbath in order to be justified doesn't change the truth that it really is okay to observe a literal Sabbath for a good reason.

Brother the chief end of man is to glorify God and enjoy Him and enjoy Him forever. Sowing is a wonderful thing. But when motive is not to please God but what your return on the sowing is going to be........... this is the issue. The condition of the heart is the issue.

Matthew 6:19-21 (NASB)
19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal; 21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

If someone else gives with wrong motives does that take away for the person who gives for the right reason the truth that the one who sows abundantly will reap abundantly? Of course not. But that is exactly what we have decided happens.

I don't think they "USE" that spiritual law, as it would not work for them.
I agree. They don't use that spiritual law.
They don't sow abundantly to reap abundantly. They tell other people to do that, who in turn give their abundant giving to them. They are using another law to reap abundantly--a carnal law.

Look this began when you were discussing how much one would have to sow to GET a certain expensive sports car. This is where I said something ...... The very scriptures you used to defend / explain your position exposed your motives for sowing were wrong IE............
These are your words
You have to sow to receive in abundance (I think a Lamborghini falls into the abundance category) The more you sow the more you reap.

The notion that there is some law whereby if you give X number of dollars, then you get X dollars times 20 or 40 or 60 or 100 or 1000 times back in dollars is an utter LIE. That entire premise is utter nonsense. God is not "bought" and "proven" by any such false notions and anyone who believes this is true ought to have their heads examined. Such people are blinded pawns who have been taken to the money cleaners by the phony promoters who take them for fools and enrich themselves by such shams under the guise of faith.

Shame on anyone who falls into this nonsense.

Giving in the Divine Sense usually/always involves "pain." Look to Jesus on the cross for the example of what kind of return you will "get" for "giving."

I don't want to get in an argument. I just want to know, are you saying that if I sow (give) abundantly with the right attitude, that God will, or will not cause me to reap abundantly? And are you saying he will not cause me to reap abundantly if I sow abundantly, but with the wrong attitude? Just asking.

And what I was doing with Mikey was helping him see that to reap in abundance you have to sow in abundance, not just trust God to do abundant things for us. We all have dreams and desires that we would like to see fulfilled and I don't think owning a Lamborghini is evil and ungodly in and of itself. I just think there's a right way in which God fulfills them for his beloved children when he does grant the fulfillment of those dreams and desires. One of those ways is through sowing abundantly. I don't think someone else's wrong attitude about that will rob someone else of that truth. Do you?

Hey, Mikey. Shall I post the scriptures, or are you?

well I want a home the one as my avatar will work. im tithing for that thing.
I know you're kidding, but you may have an occupation and income that makes it entirely reasonable that God will fulfill an innocent dream and desire for a certain kind of house. None of you would prolly want to live in my home, and most of you could prolly buy it a few times over, but it fills a desire I've had in my heart since my wife and I had to move out of our first home we lived in in order for me to get a job (the Air Force, lol). I don't think God is all business. He has a heart, you know.
