Two End Time Battles

There will be two great battles that will take place in the end of days as we the saints of God will still be here while they are taking place as Jesus said when you see the abomination of desolation spoken of by Daniel to stand in the Holy place, which is a literal place and a Spiritual place as Gods seal is upon those who have repented and God will protect them from what is about to take place. You have to cross reference Zechariah 14; Revelation 13:11-18; and Revelation 20 to understand the prophecy given in Zechariah 14 about the second coming of Christ and what has to take place before and after his return that in a twinkling of an eye we will be with the Lord forever. Please read all these chapters as it is imperative for Spiritual understanding.
(Matthew 24:15; Rev 7:3; Rev 20:7-10)

The first battle of the end of days starts in Revelation chapter 20 and will be that of Satan’s control of Jerusalem as he said in Isaiah 14:12-15 and will work through whom he chooses in taking captive those that are of God and forcing them to bow down to his rule and those that are in Christ will be forced to denounce Christ and worship the beast and take his mark. If they refuse then they will die a martyrs death. This is the mark of the beast which are the actions of the hands and the thoughts of their mind. God sends an angel to bind up Satan and throw him into the Abyss right after abomination of desolation in Jerusalem so he can no longer deceive the nations. Remember that 1000 years is as a day with the Lord in his timing.
(Rev 13:11-18)

The second and last battle of the end of days will be the gathering of the bride of Christ (those who have repented) as she has made herself ready as she endured until the end of days, Matthew 24:13, both dead and alive and will be taken in the air to meet Jesus while the angel chains Satan and throws him into the Abyss for a time. Jesus then comes down to earth to stand on the Mt. Of Olives with his army (we the saints) to fight the final battle as he cast the beast and the false prophet into the lake of fire and makes an end to the abominations, end of sin on Earth. Jesus will then let Satan loose from the Abyss and with Satan’s army will rage war on all the nations but will be consumed by the fire of heaven and will be cast into the lake of fire and sulphur with his army for eternity. After this God will bring everyone into his throne of judgment and those not found in the Lambs book of Life will be cast also into the lake of fire and sulphur with the beast, false prophet, Satan and all his army thus ushering in the new heaven and the new Jerusalem that we will be with the Lord forever. (Rev 20:5, 6; 9:20, 21; 20:15)

It is so imperative to understand those Spiritual words of God so we will not be taken as a thief in the night when Jesus returns. Revelation, which means veil rolled aside, starts with the seven churches that spiritually represent all Gods children as they are given the seven spirits of God to help keep them inline with the will of God. The seven spirits are wisdom, understanding, counsel, knowledge, reverence, might and the Spirit of the Lord. Revelation chapter 4 is used in the false teachings of a pretrib rapture that teaches the saints of God will be out of here before a Great Tribulation occurs. This is a monstrous deception of Satan that will cause many to fall away from God as we will go through everything of Revelations including the seven seals of judgment, seven trumpets of judgment, the harvest judgment, the seven vials of judgment right up to and including the two final battles when judgment comes on all the inhabitants on the earth dead and alive.

God does not want us to fear those things which must come, but be prepared for those things which have to come. If we are truly sealed by the Spirit of God through repentance then we need not fear what man can do to the flesh as we have the Holy Spirit dwelling in us as we have died to self and we no longer live, but Christ lives in us. We will be the witness of Christ to the world when the last of the abominations take place and our only concern needs to be of us being the witness to the nations that God has called us to be.
(2Thessalonians 2:3; Mark 4:21-25; Romans 8:14-17)

So in Zechariah 14, what time period in Revelation do you believe (after the verses about the second coming) the rest of Zech is talking about?

Zec 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Zec 14:17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.
Zec 14:18 And if the family of Egypt go not up, and come not, that have no rain; there shall be the plague, wherewith the LORD will smite the heathen that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Zec 14:19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

(Rev 20:5, 6; 9:20, 21; 20:15)

Heb 12:22 But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels,
Heb 12:23 To the general assembly and church of the firstborn, which are written in heaven, and to God the Judge of all, and to the spirits of just men made perfect,
Heb 12:24 And to Jesus the mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling, that speaketh better things than that of Abel.

Zec 14:19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

The time period is roughly around 480 BC in Zachariah 14 up to the end of days when Christ returns for his Bride and then sets his feet once again on the Mt. of Olives to make an end to all abominations on earth thus ushering down the New Heaven and New Jerusalem spoken of by John in Rev Chapter 21.
Zechariah 14 can also be crossed referenced with Rev 19:11-21.

Zechariah 14:1, 2 is speaking of the final siege of Jerusalem in that day, but also prophetic of the final siege of Jerusalem when Satan tries to take control of Jerusalem once again.
Zechariah 14:3-8 is speaking of the second coming of Christ in the prophetic as well as the literal of that time as when Christ returns (in that day) he with gather his Bride and return with them to once again stand on the Mt of Olives (in that day) to make to make the final end to the abominations (sin) casting the false prophet and the beast into the lake of fire along with Satan, thus ushering down the new Jerusalem, and new Heaven.
Zechariah 14:9-21 is speaking of the Kingdom of Christ and us dwelling in the New Jerusalem

Mat_27:51 And, behold, the veil of the temple was rent in twain from the top to the bottom; and the earth did quake, and the rocks rent;
Act_7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,

Thank you reba for sharing that of the veil being rent from top to bottom as this holds so much importance to us as at the time the word of God was only then made available to all nations, tongues and people. We know that God sealed the 144,000 of all the twelve tribes of Israel with His Spirit and now seals all of us by His Spirit that have answered His call to Salvation through Christ. No matter what we will have to go through we know that Christ will always be with us even unto the physical death of this body until the day of our resurrection to be caught up with Christ to be with him forever.

So you believe that in the New Jerusalem there will be rebellion against the Lord? and no rain and plagues? and heathens?

Zec 14:16 And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.
Zec 14:17 And it shall be, that whoso will not come up of all the families of the earth unto Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, even upon them shall be no rain.

Zec 14:19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

What do you believe will make the temple in Jerusalem a holy place?

The third and last Temple rebuilt in Jerusalem will only have the inner court where the altar will be rebuilt for Gods people to worship him. This is Gods Holy place with His children gathered together with His Spirit being in the midst of them.

Mat 24:2 And Jesus said unto them, See ye not all these things? verily I say unto you, There shall not be left here one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.

Rev 11:1 And there was given me a reed like unto a rod: and the angel stood, saying, Rise, and measure the temple of God, and the altar, and them that worship therein.
Rev 11:2 But the court which is without the temple leave out, and measure it not; for it is given unto the Gentiles: and the holy city shall they tread under foot forty and two months.

So you believe that in the New Jerusalem there will be rebellion against the Lord? and no rain and plagues? and heathens?

Zec 14:19 This shall be the punishment of Egypt, and the punishment of all nations that come not up to keep the feast of tabernacles.

No I do not believe there will be any rebellion or anything that can possibly come against the Lord in the New Jerusalem. You are missing the whole point of that of the former and the latter. If you would truly take the time to sit and cross reference all those scriptures I gave you would see that the literal in Zechariah is also prophetic of the future end time events mentioned in Rev.

Rev 21:1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
Rev 21:2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
Rev 21:3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
Rev 21:4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.
Rev 21:5 And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
Rev 21:6 And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely.
Rev 21:7 He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.
Rev 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

You do not believe it will be built to the pattern?
1Ch 28:12 And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the dedicated things:

The third and last Temple rebuilt in Jerusalem will only have the inner court where the altar will be rebuilt for Gods people to worship him. This is Gods Holy place with His children gathered together with His Spirit being in the midst of them.

Act_7:48 Howbeit the most High dwelleth not in temples made with hands; as saith the prophet,

Heb 9:11 But Christ being come an high priest of good things to come, by a greater and more perfect tabernacle, not made with hands, that is to say, not of this building;
Heb 9:12 Neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by his own blood he entered in once into the holy place, having obtained eternal redemption for us.
Heb 9:24 For Christ is not entered into the holy places made with hands, which are the figures of the true; but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God for us:
Heb 9:25 Nor yet that he should offer himself often, as the high priest entereth into the holy place every year with blood of others;
Heb 9:26 For then must he often have suffered since the foundation of the world: but now once in the end of the world hath he appeared to put away sin by the sacrifice of himself.

I understood you to say in post #4, I quote...
Zechariah 14:9-21 is speaking of the Kingdom of Christ and us dwelling in the New Jerusalem

But 14:16-19 does say there will be rebellion, plagues, no rain, etc.

So how do you explain that, in your own words please first. When is this?

You do not believe it will be built to the pattern?
1Ch 28:12 And the pattern of all that he had by the spirit, of the courts of the house of the LORD, and of all the chambers round about, of the treasuries of the house of God, and of the treasuries of the dedicated things:

I'm only going by what Rev 11:1, 2 says about what to measure as the rest would not be that important. The Temple would only be for that of the Israelite (Jews) to worship in, but as for the rest of us we know the Temple of God is not made by hands as we are that temple of God as now the Holy Spirit dwells in us.

1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1Co 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

But 14:16-19 does say there will be rebellion, plagues, no rain, etc.

So how do you explain that, in your own words please first. When is this?

Verse 9 starts out by saying , And the LORD shall be king over all the earth: in that day shall there be one LORD, and his name one. Notice the words "in that day" this means when all is finished here on this earth when Christ returns and the New Jerusalem is ushered down. You can also include vs. 10, 11 with this as the prophetic of the New Jerusalem as per Rev 21:4. From vs. 12-21 speaks of the literal of what happens to those who come against Jerusalem, but also against Christ as in those who come against will be destroyed and those who are truly of God will receive His blessings.

Rev 11:15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1Co 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.

For me i dont see the separation of Gods people we are all one in Him ... I believe those verse are for the saved. It is not the blood in our veins that save it is the Blood of Jesus..

1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?

There is no separation. Just as in the days of Abraham, Issac and Jacob who gave blood sacrifices through unblemished lambs at the physical Temple we have all been one body of Christ through the Spirit that is God. We are made righteous by the righteousness of God and now saved by the precious blood of Christ instead of the former sacrifices. We are now that Spiritual Temple of God as the Holy Spirit dwells in us. A Temple not made of hands.

I am confused which is it?

So you don't know what Zech 14:16-19 is describing. Neither do I, I was hoping you would. :shrug

These verses are speaking of the feast of Tabernacles. If this is to be done in the natural or becasue of the Cross does this now have a different meaning
1Co_15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual, but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual
Think of the natural... all the nations how many people are there? each family is to go every year to Jerusalem and build a small 'tabernacle'.? think of the practical or actually the unpratical side ...
Could it be we are under His Tabernacle

Amo_9:11 In that day will I raise up the tabernacle of David that is fallen, and close up the breaches thereof; and I will raise up his ruins, and I will build it as in the days of old:
Act_15:16 After this I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David, which is fallen down; and I will build again the ruins thereof, and I will set it up:

The tabernacle of David was not a building i believe a modern day word would be portable tent/awning. God says I will return, and will build again the tabernacle of David. our salvation is not of works not of building tabernacles but of being in His shadow covered by Him...

nuff rambling

The Temple would only be for that of the Israelite (Jews) to worship in, but as for the rest of us we know the Temple of God is not made by hands as we are that temple of God as now the Holy Spirit dwells in us.

1Co 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
1Co 3:17 If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which temple ye are.
so if my kin is there they are less holy then I? I am a jew. I have lost kin. kindly tell me how im more holy then they when paul a man more jewish then all of today said he was in need of Christ and found him.

Thank you Reba, again.
I'm just going to have to stew on it some more.
I understand tabernacle I believe we are there even now as He is building the tabernacle of David, His kingdom.
So all I get from these verses is that there are those who will not come to tabernacle with the Lord. Just as that has always been true.
:rolleyes
