I don't know where you got the "You may well put up with it" bit from. My bibles say and you welcome it with open arms.
KJV 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or
if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted,
ye might well bear with him.
NKJ 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus whom we have not preached, or
if you receive a different spirit which you have not received, or a different gospel which you have not accepted--
you may well put up with it!
YLT 2 Corinthians 11:4 for if, indeed, he who is coming doth preach another Jesus whom we did not preach, or another Spirit ye receive which ye did not receive, or other good news which ye did not accept --
well were ye bearing it,
RPTE 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if he who comes preaches another Jesus, whom we did not proclaim, or if you receive a different spirit, which you did not receive, or a different "good news", which you did not accept,
you put up with that well enough.
BBE 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if anyone comes preaching another Jesus from the one whose preachers we are, or if you have got a different spirit, or a different sort of good news from those which came to you,
how well you put up with these things.
NET 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if someone comes and proclaims another Jesus different from the one we proclaimed, or if you receive a different spirit than the one you received, or a different gospel than the one you accepted,
you put up with it well enough!
NIV 2 Corinthians 11:4 For if someone comes to you and preaches a Jesus other than the Jesus we preached, or if you receive a different spirit from the Spirit you received, or a different gospel from the one you accepted,
you put up with it easily enough.
The apodosis of the conditional sentence, καλῶς ἀνέχεσθε, “you put up with it well enough” (BAGD 401c), “you are marvellously tolerant” (TCNT), is harsh but ironical (cf. καλῶς in Mark 7:9).81 But behind the irony is profound disquiet—distress that the Corinthians so readily accepted novelty and elevated form over content, manner over matter. -Harris, M. J. (2005). The Second Epistle to the Corinthians: a commentary on the Greek text (p. 745). W.B. Eerdmans Pub. Co.; Paternoster Press.
