Angels are Corporeal, not spirits

How did these humans survive the flood and continue to produce Nephilim?
Strong's Exhaustive Concordance - Nephilim
Part of Speech: noun masculine
Transliteration: Nephilim
Phonetic Spelling : nef-eel
Definition: "giants", name of two people, one before the flood and one after the flood

By this definition these angels would have to have come down two different times to marry the daughters of men. Once before the flood and again after the flood, but we only find this one time in Genesis 6:1, 2.

There is no such thing as a half angel, half human hybrid called Giants. Nephilim is just a name given to giants that we read about in scripture and even those that are living today being over 6 feet and taller.

Have you ever heard of the hereditary autosomal dominant pituitary gene such as AIP that produces Nephilim/giants. I found this info when I was researching giants. Seems like Canaan, son of Ham had this gene.

Rephaim - race of giants Genesis 14:5-7; Deuteronomy 3:11-13; 2 Samuel 21:16-20, Og the king of Bashan was the last of the Rephaim

Anakim - race of giants Numbers 13:33; Deuteronomy 2:10; 9:2 Anak son of Arba Joshua 15:13 descendant of Canaan, son of Ham

Emim - the proud deserters, terrors, race of giants Genesis 14:5-7; Genesis, 19:37; Deuteronomy 2:10, 11 descendants of Canaan, son of Ham

Zuzim/Zamzummim's the evil ones, roaming things Genesis 14:5-7, 19:38 Deuteronomy 2:20 descendants of Canaan, son of Ham

The term "sons of God" has multiple meanings in the Bible like humans who have a special relationship with God like the nation of Israel who are called God's first born son in Exodus 4:22. Solomon was called the son of God, 1Chronicles 28:6, as well as all of us that are in Christ are sons/daughters of God, Galatians 3:26.

Gen 6:1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
Gen 6:2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
Gen 6:3 And the LORD said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
Gen 6:4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.

Angels are spirit form and have no genitals or sperm in order to get a woman pregnant. Angels have no gender (Matthew 22:30) and are innumerable (Hebrews 12:22). They are incarnate in human form at times (Genesis 18:2-8) for the purpose of ministry.

It's only a man's theory or interpretation of Genesis 6:1-4 as many hold this theory about angels getting women pregnant as being true, but yet no evidence in scripture other than this is found in the book of Enoch in which was written after the death of Enoch.

And yet, we read this and all the early church fathers believed it:

6 And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day;
7 as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. (Jude 1:6-7 NKJ)

6 As his second illustration the writer holds up the fate of the angels who did not keep their dominion but abandoned their proper dwelling-place. These are ‘the sons of God’ who, according to Gen. 6:1–4, yielded to the attractions of ‘the daughters of men’ and formed unions with them. In later Jewish speculation, which Jude is following, the legend was developed and elaborated in fantastic detail (for references, see note on 1 Pet. 3:19), the ‘sons of God’ being identified (so even Codex A of the LXX) as angels; and this richly embroidered version of the brief narrative in Genesis was, it may be remarked, taken up and readily adopted by early Church fathers (e.g. Justin, 2 Apol. v. 3; Irenaeus, iv. 36. 4; Tertullian, De idol. ix. 1; De cult. fem. i. 2; Apol. xxii. 3; Clement Alex., Paed. iii. 2. 14; Strom. iii. 7. 59).

Codex A Codex Alexandrinus (5th cent.).

LXX Septuagint (Greek version of the Old Testament).

What does Jude 1:6-7 have to do with Genesis 6:1-4? This is a whole different situation, plus vs. 7 has nothing to do with angels.

I have no idea what Codex A of the LXX is other than I can only assume it's a Roman Catholic thing. None of this proves anything and even the early church fathers could not agree with each other.

Thats what I said, you make grammar up to suit your interpretations. Good luck with that...not really.
You're accusing me what you're guilty of. If the giants predated the sons of God, it should be "THEN" the sons of God came in to the daughters of man, but the Scripture says "WHEN", not "then". "When" in a sentence sets the context and condition, that's basic grammar, not my interpretation.

Yes, grammar according to you, a special grammar you can pluck out of thin air whenever its needed. I applaud the inventiveness of it.....not really.

Again, how did the human sons of God survive the flood, and continue reproducing Nephilim giants since the scripture teach us all flesh, every living thing with breath in them died?

All in whose nostrils was the breath of the spirit of life, all that was on the dry land, died. So He destroyed all living things which were on the face of the ground: both man and cattle, creeping thing and bird of the air. They were destroyed from the earth. Only Noah and those who were with him in the ark remained alive.

One rule of thumb in bible interpretation is the "first mention" rule, whenever a term or phrase appears the first time, the same definition, connotation and implication thereof apply to all the subsequent mentions in the rest of the bible. "Sons of God" in Gen 6:3 literally means "godly or heavenly beings". "Son" should not be understood as biological male offspring, but rather the embodiment of a concept, such as "sons of chaos", "sons of thunder", "sons of the republic". Jesus frequently addressed himself as the "son of man", the emphasis was on his humanity, that even though he is the unique son of God, he manifested himself in form of a man, a humble carpenter from Nazerath. So whether you think these sons of God are angels or not, they are most definitely not mortal men. The whole purpose of using the term "sons of God" is to distinguish them from mortal men.

I have been discussing the scriptures, but sometimes you also need the proper definition of a word to know the exact meaning. I already answered your question about human sons of God in post #81.

I responded to this post with this question -

Your claim was my biblical teaching on this subject was man’s theory when I asked you to explain to us how these “sons of God” being human continued to produce Nephilim giants after the flood since all human beings were destroyed.

Here is the scriptural text where my question originated -

There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown. Genesis 6:4

And also afterward” tells us that giants continued to be produced from the union of the sons of God and daughters of men AFTER THE FLOOD.

After all human beings were killed off.

NO WHERE IN THIS POST is there an answer to my question. NOWHERE!

Rabbinical literature says the giants didn't drown in the flood because the water only reached as high as their ankles.

They say Moses used a javelin to catapult himself high enough to strike king Og in the ankle.

They were pretty big..

  • There were giants on the earth in those days, and also afterward, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men

The Nephilim were produced WHEN the sons of God came into the daughters of man.

Here are the two choices we are left with scripturally -

  1. Noah and his sons were sons of God and they produced Nephilim giants after the flood.
  2. The sons of God were angels that left their own abode and were unaffected by the flood.

Since we have a genealogy of Noah and his sons, and sons of God nor giants are mentioned, there is only one true biblical answer.

We also see the same in Genesis 5, no mention of sons of God or Nephilim giants are mentioned.

Now this is the genealogy of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. And sons were born to them after the flood.
The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. The sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. The sons of Javan were Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. From these the coastland peoples of the Gentiles were separated into their lands, everyone according to his language, according to their families, into their nations.
The sons of Ham were Cush, Mizraim, Put, and Canaan. The sons of Cush were Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, and Sabtechah; and the sons of Raamah were Sheba and Dedan.
Cush begot Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth. He was a mighty hunter before the LORD; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod the mighty hunter before the LORD.” And the beginning of his kingdom was Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. From that land he went to Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah, and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (that is the principal city).
Mizraim begot Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim, Pathrusim, and Casluhim (from whom came the Philistines and Caphtorim).
Canaan begot Sidon his firstborn, and Heth; the Jebusite, the Amorite, and the Girgashite; the Hivite, the Arkite, and the Sinite; the Arvadite, the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. Afterward the families of the Canaanites were dispersed. And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon as you go toward Gerar, as far as Gaza; then as you go toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha. These were the sons of Ham, according to their families, according to their languages, in their lands and in their nations.
And children were born also to Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder. The sons of Shem were Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram. The sons of Aram were Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash. Arphaxad begot Salah, and Salah begot Eber. To Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan. Joktan begot Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, Obal, Abimael, Sheba, Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan. And their dwelling place was from Mesha as you go toward Sephar, the mountain of the east. These were the sons of Shem, according to their families, according to their languages, in their lands, according to their nations.
These were the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, in their nations; and from these the nations were divided on the earth after the flood.
Genesis 10:1-32

Here is what the scriptures teach.

Doesn’t that mean that the giants were already there when the sons of God took the daughters of men?

Also, Enoch, who was seventh from Adam, must have been a son of God because God took him up.
