God's Great Free Gift of Salvation for Everyone

The Bible does not say, "Faith comes with salvation" What it does say is, "Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God" Romans 1:17.

You are willing to say and do anything to appease your Calvinist God.
Hearing comes by Salvation. Jesus tells us who it is who hears the words of God Jn 8:47

47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

Now to be of God is to be saved. Thats how one can hear !

The like precious faith comes by hearing and believing the Gospel, Romans 10:17. Paul said, "The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believes" Romans 1:17. You must hear it and believe it by faith.
Only those to whom it is given are they who can truly hear and believe. Those who think their faith is from themselves, believe in themselves. You obviously didn't understand the verse I posted. You should go back and reread it.
The one that someone believes the cause of their faith, is also he who their faith is in

You are in error.

God's word says that "Whosoever that shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved" Romans 10:13.

The word "Whosoever" means anyone, everyone, all.

And then God's word says, "That Jesus has tasted death for everyone" Hebrews 2:9.

God is not pleased when you teach against his word. The only one that is pleased is your Calvinist God.

Before one can call upon the name of the Lord, they have to be saved, regenerated, made alive first. Ps 80:18

18 So will not we go back from thee: quicken us, and we will call upon thy name.

So your arminian man exalting doctrine is garbage !

No, the whosoever(s) will/can be comprised only of those elected of God to salvation
You forgot the verse that precedes Romans 10:13, the verse that tells us true confession must come from the heart but the heart of natural man is desperately wicked that true confession cannot be made by/from it. The heart is only changed by God from salvation, not by man. From that change is true confession made.
Your incorrect interpretation is what happens when you don't follow biblical rules for interpretation. No single
verse was intended by God to stand on its own.
God is not pleased when you teach mankind's doctrine of salvation as being His doctrine -- a doctrine with its trust placed in man rather than in Christ as Saviour.

[Jer 17:9 KJV]
9 The heart [is] deceitful above all [things], and desperately wicked: who can know it?
[Rom 10:10 KJV]
10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.

And then God's word says, "That Jesus has tasted death for everyone" Hebrews 2:9.
Here again, you neglect to consider all of the pertinent verses but instead choose one verse
that seems to support your way of thinking. Had you read a little further, you would have found
God's definition/explanation of whom the "everyone" consists of. They are the elect -- only the children that God gave
to Christ.

[Heb 2:11-13 KJV]
11 For both he that sanctifieth and they who are sanctified [are] all of one: for which cause he is not ashamed to call them brethren,
12 Saying, I will declare thy name unto my brethren, in the midst of the church will I sing praise unto thee.
13 And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me.

Yes, before we can call upon the Lord, especially with a pure heart of faith 2 Tim 2:22

Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
We would first have to be regenerated and given a new heart Ezk 36:26

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you:
and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

Because the heart we have by nature, when it comes to God and spiritual things, its hard and unrepentant Rom 2:5

5 But after thy hardness and impenitent heart treasurest up unto thyself wrath against the day of wrath and revelation of the righteous judgment of God;

The word impenitent is the greek word ἀμετανόητος:

  1. admitting no change of mind, unrepented, impenitent

The natural heart is hard and has no repentance, thats why we see the negative particle a joined to μετανοέω which means repentance or change of mind.

However the good news is Jesus the Saviour of His Elect gives [in regeneration] repentance and forgiveness of sins Acts 5:31
31 Him hath God exalted with his right hand to be a Prince and a Saviour, for to give repentance to Israel, and forgiveness of sins.

Now this people having been given repentance by regeneration from Christ their Saviour will call upon the name of the Lord with a pure heart of Faith.

Also those He tasted death for are called the many later on in the epistle Heb 9:28

So Christ was once offered to bear the sins of many; and unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto salvation.

Also those He tasted death for are called the many later on in the epistle Heb 9:28

Yes, good catch - thank you, brightfame52

Your doctrine makes the Gospel of Jesus Christ a sham.

Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, 1 John 2:2. So that "Whosoever that shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" Romans 10:13.

It is blaspheme against God, his Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to say that Jesus only atoned for some sins and not all sins.

It is blaspheme against God, his Son Jesus Christ and the Holy Spirit to say that Jesus only atoned for some sins and not all sins.
It is not blaspheming to trust in Christ and His completed work as being the Saviour. Who else would be your saviour, yourself? Those who do not trust in Christ are the ones in spiritual peril and jeopardy.

You are in error.

Perfect.

I have often said that we can get some doctrine or other wrong...
no denomination has all the truth...

But the reformed change the NATURE OF GOD.
I doubt God is too happy about that.
The only way they understand scripture is to twist every verse to make it suit their needs.

And they don't want to be called a CULT...
when in reality they're following a MAN
instead of JESUS.

God have mercy.

It is not blaspheming to trust in Christ and His completed work as being the Saviour. Who else would be your saviour, yourself? Those who do not trust in Christ are the ones in spiritual peril and jeopardy.
If we want to talk about who's in peril, I'd put in a vote for those that change the nature of God.
That split Him up into sections:
GOD IS ONE BEING...
HE IS ONE WITH HIS ATTRIBUTES.
He cannot be separated from His attributes.

Do you even know what His attributes are?
Do you even know what grace is?

You do not.

Study Divine Simplicity some time.

47 He that is of God heareth God's words: ye therefore hear them not, because ye are not of God.

You can only be of God by faith in Christ and his Gospel, Ephesians 1:13.

You are NOT trusting in Christ as your savior. You are trusting in Your Calvinist religion.

You know BF,
The reformed have so many conflicts in scripture, caused by their incorrect belief system,
that it's almost impossible to post about it because it's so extensive.

You say hearing come by salvation.
You post John 8:47
This goes with
1 Cor 2:14
14But a natural man does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he cannot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised.

OF COURSE those that are not of God cannot understand the things of God and the words Jesus speaks.
To this day God's word sounds like foolishness to the unsaved.

WHEN one becomes saved he THEN understands the things of God and the word of God and what Jesus taught.

So the question is:
WHEN does one become saved?

FAITH COME BY HEARING THE WORD OF GOD.
Romans 10:17

FAITH COME BY BELIEVING IN JESUS
Acts 16:31

IF WE BELIEVE IN OUR HEART THAT GOD RAISED JESUS FROM THE DEAD.
Romans 10:9

WHOEVER CALLS UPON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.
Romans 10:13

ou are NOT trusting in Christ as your savior. You are trusting in Your Calvinist religion.
And you trust in your works for salvation. Trusting in your works is NOT trusting in Christ - the two are
mutually exclusive of each other. You can't say that you trust in Christ unless, well, unless you actually
do trust in Christ - of which your post(s) inform us otherwise - that you obviously do not. Of course
trust is a gift freely given by God from salvation, not its cause.

Roger,
Jesus Christ said that He will be judging us on our works.
You can believe it or not.

John 5:24
24“I tell you the truth, those who listen to my message and believe in God who sent me have eternal life.

What do you think Jesus' message was?
He spoke about salvation a couple of times and spoke of the kingdom of God most of the times that He preached. What did He preach and teach for over 3 years if all we have to do is believe in Him?

What does BELIEVE mean anyway?
It would behoove you to find out.

John 15:14
14You are my friends if you do what I command you.

What did Jesus command?

John 8:51
51Truly, truly, I say to you, IF anyone keeps My word he shall never see death.

You see, there's a condition.

John 5:28-29
28Do not marvel at this, for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs shall hear His voice,
29and shall come forth, those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.

I'd dedicate some time to reading the NT again.

We should all follow what Jesus taught...
not what some man teaches.
