Is freewill biblical or something the modern world invented ?

See this is the most important ! I answered to dave because all the time he said God made things to impossible for us humans I said to him.

Dave God is inside of us Dave and do the freewill he can do as Jesus. You ask for too much dave and you if you had your choice you wouldmake the wrong choice anyway just put things in God's and instead of this you cannot have freewill because God's exist and he perfect in all ways and if you had any decision you cannot make it becuase he did give them, any decision based not have room becuase he gave you two options and you cannot really decide because all probablilities were taken by God ? No, you wouldn't do anything in the first place with those options except mope about them and wouldn't realize you can have options and pray ask him to be smarter and make options he does give them stop making excuses and change your destiny.
 
Then do it Dave and don't blame God like scientist and pyschologist whine they don't have possibilities and everything is decided already you have all the time t'ill your death to save your family and get them baptized ! And have time instead of you writting go on A boat or do your dream stop making excuses like the world and be Jesus and live your freedom to choose and God lets make decision like him over destiny but ask him and put him first and your dream will come true !
 
Yes I do and it ebcause he loves to create and leave uncertatanty A possibility and shows he lets things free and he doesn't control all to show he is fair and to create life is why He made the Universe to make beings know of him and worship him. So they can live he's stories and his life giving creations to be happy just like he wants us in the garden ! We are given the chance to live and know we exist and know he is great because he gave it to us and not wasting time. questioning him he is abd or good and love him for who he is ! A friend and father for all nope Dave you don't atest to what you do . Your like from the book the little prince !
 
One man named everything and said it belong to him but the prince told of how he took care his items and that relationship he ahd with them ! The man who named everything and said it belong to him coulnd't answer back like the prince could becuase it never belong to him any of what he named !
So no Dave live your relationship be happy and go find yor purpose in life becuase if you ask you haven't yet I pray you do and stop judging God, Only God judges God and only himself can judge himself not us we are only animals !
 
because their freedom in hapiness and love in his works when you do his steps in his ways dave ! And when your in love with the lord is the same as you fall in love with women ! You fly free from your promblem your free from it all. You don't understand take of you dave glasses ! and put on Jesus, put on A women shoes to know hoe they live, put on A little kids shoes and have A heart of child and you will understand how to use your freewill like Jesus did and put things in God's hands !. Your baffled on how to use freewill because of probablities and statistics and come to conflict with God because he put us in A sandbox game like half-life or GTA 3 and you can move and do things but instead your arguing you can't have the decision to do things or be free and make your own decision ?

Your making decision now and your free to do so don't complicate if you were God you would not have the experience and do the same how he does and you got those probablities off you would be in A heck of A promblem more than what you cna choose in decision be thankful he is God and your A son be happy and live lfie to the fullest !

You cannot be saved by your own effort sonly thru God's can we sue freewill like authority like Jesus ? yes, know thatw e ave all space to chaneg our route and know how to if you look fro the lord and in God's way he shows and even is it is in wrongs way or in terrible good deeds !


Soemtimes we must go thru terrible deeds our own way in even we doubt it women do it when they ahd to make hard decision like rebekah, like abigail, and like Tamara who tricked his father in law Judah in order to save the bloodline manners that are complicating bu it is like this watch this ! To understand it !

 
See here Jesus told them to still have hope and put in his hands and when he ask they would stil hold his hands thy let go ! -_- and promise that even is sufferment they will be saved and showed even old christians liek us doubt him ! see when Jesus inprayer God is horrible in good deeds ? yes thru hard times and hard test miracle come out of gardens when dead corpses rot but give life ? but still have faith and wake up and see he was waiting for ya at the end, no we all fail and he forgives us. Even the writter failed too and like rise and learn from errors get up.

Horrible in good deeds we must survive the ahrd test ahead of us and i know all of you had them in this covid moment in history lsot family sorry for you. ;-;.

Just to make A recap everyone from the first to remembering the last posts that were done but we have to see what hebrew say when using those words of "free" and choice and know the whole area is also tied to the slaves system Judean mosaic law applies people. Did you know their is A law that saw if A slave from another country comes to Israel he is free under the law of moses and musn't be return to his country to be slave ? He can be free forever
 
Understand our freedom did exist ! And existed in Heaven when Lucifer rebbeled, truly freewill exist in the spectrum of decision but the concept of the past, present, and future makes us think freewill doesn't exist because everything God's see's and foresaws decided everything for us. Nope people just like their are sciences explaining our existence their is other realms of existence of aliens, spirits and time that our thinking does not know and exist God created it becuase he is above it all but paths that exist and ways that exist in those ways explain that freedom exist probablility exist and Lucifer is one that's he was perfect in every sense we do knot know and yet he reblled and proves freewill myth is not myth and Ray I copy something from him. Still were just the tip of the iceberg in freewill and consciousness and existing explaining that what we percieve in our brains and eyes is not how freewil is exist by God and he gives us choice to do good and evil people don't understand it.
 
Because they want to control the base of it and with words grab their destiny and say like scientist they cannot really choose because their future was chosen for them and everything is planned ? Not true Moses and Hulda and Elijah changed the future of the world with thier decision can we who are in this choosing of good and evil also change the destiny of this world and do good and not the same mistakes as them ? Yes, we can can Jesus do it ? He did change our destiny all together.
 
No, people you just begginign to enter the tip of freewill as we speak we have the verses and in greek mean different things and in hebrew mean different things. But how in the universe rules are different and no we are bound becuase their Is more to God he is not showing we know him as the God of before, today and tomorrow are thier more time measurments in the universe ? Yes, Do angels, aliens, and other beings that exist have different counting than we do ? yes, understand God is beyond destiny and he gives us that to be measure by time like we know it now but there is more ways to count time from angel perspective, alien perspective, and above all from God's perpsective for he is has not limits and he has counting system different from us.
 
Freewill is it based from God's letting people to choose to love him or not ? He let us choose our destiny can change from that ? Dont' go too far people he onlys wants us to choose either to be freed by him from sin thru Jesus and be baptized simple as that and not to choose to do evil simple people. Does freedom exist outside of our science and counting time and counting destiny and God can make it happen ? Yes he can he can do it all for he is God and only God judges God ! We cannot go beyond that but he can craete it people Don't rely on your own efforts in yoru decison but pray and rely on his and he will unchange your destiny to youd dream of saving your family to be rich man in god's way and be the thing you want he put in your heart to free in freewill in his love he gaves us life to choose and enjoy this magnifecent thing called life and live it with all your might and feelings.

I have read all that you have posted and disagree with what you are trying to say.

Essentially your point is that man has a choice (free will) to choose salvation.

I do not believe that to be Biblical. I will not argue the point because there is a whole thread on free will in this very forum. I believe it to be under the Calvinism heading.

Again, I believe any "good" choice I make is from Holy Spirit with in me. Any sinful choice I make is the flesh that I still live in. The two are constantly at odds with one another.

So any of those choices do not result in a free will.

You wouldn't said that if jesus dind't give that and he gave A chocie freely for you to love him. There is freedom to choose that.

Well, I agree with premise 1 and 2. Neither one substantiates "free will". Also, you have not defined "free will". "Free" from what/who and do what?
We agree they are without excuse but your premises don't prove this conclusion IMO. Romans 3:10 “no one seeks God”

Premise 1: Romans 11:32 For God has consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.
Conclusion: Our "free will" (the ability to come to obey uninfluenced by God) was voided by Adam as God

Premise 1: God created ALL things
Premise 2: Our will is a thing
Conclusion: Our will is a construction of God and therefore not Free of God's influence.

John 1:12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.

Premise 1: Romans 3:10 “no one seeks God”
Conclusion: Free Will (the ability to come to faith in God without His assistance) is impossible. God has so determined.
 

We trust in G-d no matter what anyone says he delivers to trust in God we must put things in god's hands and in the storm we will survive it and show we are faithful to him !
