Made available ? No I dont agree with that because no scripture says that. You are using unscriptural terms. Christ gives Eternal life to those the Father gave Him Jn 17:2
2 as thou hast given him power over all flesh, that he should give eternal life to as many as thou hast given him.
Amen, Jesus certainly has authority to give eternal life.
- As we have seen also in John, the reason He gives eternal life is they believed.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16
Their believing resulted in following Him.
Eternal life is knowing Him, being joined to Him as one spirit with Him; IOW, being “in Christ.”
Jesus had just explained this in John 15 —
“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me.
“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned. John 15:1-6
Those who are in Christ have been given eternal life, because they are in fact “in Christ”.
However, we must remain “in Christ” if we are to continue to have the eternal life that flows from Him.
- If anyone does not abide in Me, he is cast out as a branch and is withered; and they gather them and throw them into the fire, and they are burned.
Which brings us to Judas Iscariot.
Judas Iscariot was given eternal life because he was one of disciples the Father gave to Jesus.
Jesus spoke these words, lifted up His eyes to heaven, and said: “Father, the hour has come. Glorify Your Son, that Your Son also may glorify You, as You have given Him authority over all flesh, that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him. And this is eternal life, that they may know You, the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom You have sent.
While I was with them in the world, I kept them in Your name... Those whom You gave Me I have kept; and none of them is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled. John 17:1-3,13
Once we become His sheep, we must continue to follow and obey Him, or we may become lost.
This is plainly understood in the parable of the lost sheep and prodigal son.
