Sure, just go by this one:

No.

No.

No.

Paul did NOT say that the greatest commandment was to love one's neighbor as oneself...go back and read the text. It states the law is fulfilled or summed up in this commandment, not that it is the greatest commandment.

If you have a Bible that is translates the text has saying that Paul says this is the "greatest commandment" let me know which version it is.

But, let me encourage you that when you do have time, go back and actually read the responses to you...your question has been answered over and over and you just don't seem to be taking it in. I don't know if you have an agenda to prove that only the gospels are trustworthy, but your whole premise here is wrong.

Jesus says the law is summed up in two commandments: love the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul, and love your neighbor as yourself.

Paul says the law is summed up in one commandment: love your neighbor as yourself.

I think this is a contradiction.

Why does it matter? Jesus is still our Savior.

You seem to be saying that the human race is God. That is not true.

I'm not. However, the Bible makes it clear that we love God, who we cannot see, in how we love our neighbors, whom we can see.

Jesus (Mat 25) says that judgment will be based upon how we treat HIM THROUGH the treatment of our neighbors. Saul, persecutors of Christians, was told by Jesus "Why do you persecute ME"?

Remember, God became man, Elijah. There is some profound reflections that result from that short statement.

GOD BECAME MAN.

"I do not know where the Bible says that, nor do I want to know."

The sentence speaks VOLUMES about the "Depth" of your "Spiritual concern/Spiritual knowledge". The Bible, of course DOESN'T say anything of the sort, but YOU obviously are totally incapable of properly arguing the point to someone that says it does.

"I tell people that Jesus told us not to sin, and they come up with all kinds of Bible verses that tell them, apparently, that we don’t have to stop sinning."

And you're TOTALLY INCAPABLE of presenting ANYTHING to the contrary, obviously. For your own information - go read Romans 6 and THEN tell us that Paul "says it's O.K. to Sin". You were told by Jesus to "Take His yoke upon you, and LEARN OF HIM". Why haven't you????

Oh, and since JESUS told YOU NOT to sin (which He did), How Are YOU coming along with your "Living in perfection"??? How many years have YOU been "sinless"?

God created all of us. Certainly he wants us to love each other.

But that is not enough. We need to love HIM.

I do not have time to examine long posts that start out on a false premise such as: it is okay to sin.

There comes a time when the wise know when it is time to just walk away...

:shrug:shame2

I do not have time to examine long posts that start out on a false premise such as: it is okay to sin.

His post is not very long at all, and he was quoting your statements, it was you who falsely said "the Bible says its okay to sin" and you who could not back up those slanderous accusations.

I was not referring to his post.

I never said the Bible said it’s okay to sin. I said there are those who quote Bible verses that they believe say it’s okay to sin.

They said two different things. Jesus said the great commandment was to love the Lord with all your heart, mind, and soul. Paul said the great commandment was to love your neighbor as yourself.

That is false.

Please post the scriptural references. I cannot find anywhere where Paul says this, and not even in your claim of Galatians 5:14 NLT, which says:

For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.

The lie that the Bible says it's okay to sin has been addressed several times.

Elijah, do you honestly think that our Lord Jesus would call upon a man to testify about Him that would contradict Him in the Scriptures? Do you think so lowly of the Christ?

[36] "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the law?"
[37] And he said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.
[38] This is the great and first commandment.
[39] And a second is like it, You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
[40] On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets." Matt 22:36-40 RSV

For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Galatians 5:14 RSV

Jesus says “On these two commandments depend all the law and the prophets.â€

Paul says, “For the whole law is fulfilled in one word, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’â€

I believe this is a contradiction. Why does it matter? Don’t you trust your Savior?

I do not believe Paul always spoke for Jesus.

I am not aware of anything in the Bible that says it’s okay to sin. I strongly oppose sin. I believe in what Jesus said when he said we need to repent of our sin and be perfect.

I do not believe Paul always spoke for Jesus.

Acts 9:15 (NIV)

But the Lord said to Ananias, “Go! This man is my chosen instrument to proclaim my name to the Gentiles and their kings and to the people of Israel. 16 I will show him how much he must suffer for my name.”

You should not go around making such statements about the Bible then. It can confuse others weaker in the faith.

I made no such statement about the Bible. I stated that there are those who claim the Bible says it’s okay sin. Right?

There is no contradiction. What Paul says, the Lord has taught him. Do you not trust Him to have anointed Paul to declare His truth?

I do not believe Paul always spoke for Jesus.

Oops, never mind. I have my answer...
