If you want truth, read what Jesus Christ said. His teachings are found in the books of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Any Christian who says these teachings are not the truth is a heretic.

Strengthening families through biblical principles.
Focus on the Family addresses the use of biblical principles in parenting and marriage to strengthen the family.

Some of Christ's words come in parables, and some are direct. For example, he told us not to look lustfully at people (Matt 5:28).If he is using a parable it is not heretic to point out it is parable. Don't take parable literally. It is dangerous to throw around the word heretic.

There are people in the churches who ignore the teachings of Jesus, so as to make themselves popular.I understand that.

I have learned that when I resist temptation, life is very beautiful. Some people don't like it when I tell them this, though.I guess that is true, but on the other side there are those who are a bit too persnickety, and get upset when a pastor doesn't focus on what they think he should focus on.

If that were true, then most people would agree that when we resist temptation, life is beautiful. I find most people quite strenuously DISAGREE. I think that what is happening is that there are a lot of people committing the sins of pride and lust. And there are a lot of people who abuse alcohol.I would think that is because they already know that. Telling an alcoholic not to drink doesn't really help them.

No, they disagree. They say I am wrong. What is condescending about the statement, "When I resist temptation, life is very beautiful"?Perhaps they aren't disagreeing that resisting temptation makes life better, but angered by a what they see as a condescending comment. Most people succumb to weakness. Just saying it would be better if you don't do that doesn't help them. They already know that.

I don't want to start an argument with someone just to give an example. As long as you know that life is very beautiful when we resist temptation, then I am happy. Remember this:I will need an example to understand.
From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand." Matt 4:17 RSV
When we resist temptation, life is very beautiful. What has that got to do with anyone judging anyone?Judge not, that ye be not judged. Mathew 7 KJV

Depends on the context, and tone of the comment.
Which is why I asked for an example of when it happened.
Life is also very hard even for those who resist temptation.
My life is a whole lot better when I resist temptation than when I don't.
And Paul,(through the Spirit) gives us a human life(his) as an example of what Jesus taught in the Gospels. If you don't agree with what Paul taught on how to live and how to interpret and apply what Jesus taught in the Gospels,One would be a baby Christian, reversionistic or not a christian. If you want truth, read what Jesus Christ said. I was anticipating that you were going to disagree, and I would have responded that Jesus was perfect and told us to repent, and I am not perfect, and I have learned it is better to repent. But since you agree with me, I can't say that.I think the vast majority would agree with you.
