If the eyes are blind, they can see nothing, ( no faith) if they are seeing, they see faith.
To you it may be false, all I am preaching, but you can only state it is, without being able to actually deny anything.
Also as testified, when the eye does not see, nor the ear hear, it then has not entered into the heart. ( showing the eye is what prevents the heart from believing.)
Isaiah 64:4 For since the beginning of the world men have
not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the
eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him.
1 Corinthians 2:9 But as it is written,
Eye hath
not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
Jesus speaks of the prophecy in Isaiah, and reveals how the blinding of the eyes, ( instead of eyes that see, which lets it then enter into the heart.) hardens the heart. Because they should not see with their eyes, then they cannot understand with their heart.
John 12:40 He hath blinded their
eyes, and hardened their heart; that they should
not see with their
eyes, nor understand with their heart, and be converted, and I should heal them.
The Pharisees would not like how Jesus did things.
But as told, this is why Jesus spoke to them in parables, because they seeing, see not, and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand. ( eye has not seen, ear not heard, so that it cannot enter into the heart.)
But blessed are the eyes of the disciples ( sheep) of Christ, for they see, and their ears, for they hear. ( they heard what Jesus testified, about if our right eye offends you, to cast it off, for it is better to enter into life, that way, than having two eyes to be cast into hell, which of course means fearing and believing in Christ the Lord God, so our body is not cast into hell, along with our soul, and not fearing men and what they can do to our body only, instead. )
Matthew 10:28 And
fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather
fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in
hell.
Matthew 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15 For this people's heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
Now for anyone on the forum, here is the last bit of advice for us from Jesus Christ, regarding our eyes, ( if your right eye offends you, cast it away/cast away the darkness of doubt/lie, of not seeing in light/truth, belief.) God counsels us to buy gold of Him tried in the fire, to be rich through the poverty of Jesus Christ, rich in faith, as the poor in Spirit are ( 2 Corinthians 8:9. James 2:5.) which is God opening our eyes and turning us then from darkness to light, from satan unto God, to receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance being sanctified by faith that is in Christ. ( Jesus Christ is faith, it is the faith of Christ.)
Romans 11:10 Let their
eyes be darkened, that they may
not see, and bow down their back alway.
Romans 13:12 The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast
off the
works of
darkness, and let us put on the armour of light.
Revelation 3:18 I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do
not appear; and anoint thine
eyes with
eyesalve, that thou mayest
see.
Acts 26:18 To open their eyes, and to
turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of
Satan unto God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins, and inheritance among them which are sanctified by faith that is in me.
