I once read an article by a Christian author (can't remember his name, but he was from Florida and wrote for Charisma magazine), who said that there was a difference between growing older (which we can't avoid) and getting old (which can be avoided). Probably because it sounds kinda "gallopy" and goes well with a picture of a galloping horse (which is how the TV show always started). Just take a listen, and try not to think of galloping horses.
