The MYTH of condemned men being the ELECT...

I've already answered this several times. According to the Bible, for his own glory:

Of course this is absolutely true according to the bible.. and isn't this ALSO according to the Bible..?

That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

But we are bound to give thanks alway to God for you, brethren beloved of the Lord, because God hath from the beginning chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth:

Yes, no ?

Faith is a gift from God (see Eph. 2:8-10). Sactification is part of the process that occurs after someone is saved. All saved people agree to be sanctified because God has changed their will to be inclined toward his.
This is where you are REALLY missing it,you said,"God changes their will", GOD CHANGES NO ONE'S WILL. The entire story of the bible is that God has given man the ability to reason and then make his own decision. The NT is a book of admonition TO STAY IN THE FAITH, that is because we are free to depart from the faith and from truth if we want to. You have departed from the truth in this election thing, did God make you do it? No, you did it yourself because you chose to.

if one is saved, its only by God's Sovereign unconditional choice of that one...

Well then, we obviously see that the word of God means nothing to you.. for it plainly declares that God chose us through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth..

Yes. It's all about God. He is the center of the universe, not man. He is the purpose of all existence. It's not about us.

It's not about YOU...? ? ? ..then why do Calvinists constantly talk about how THEY are the ELECT of God without ever mentioning the one who is the elect of God.. the Lord Jesus Christ.. ? ?

And evidently you're just another Calvinist who rejects the simple teaching of the word of God, which is that God chose us through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth..

..and since it's impossible for Calvinists to be wrong... they will insist that election unto salvation is UNCONDITIONAL regardless of the simple fact the word of God teaches that we were chosen to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth.

Calvin trumps Christ every time..

Personally, I've never met anyone who claimed to be inerrant and I don't know anyone who thinks Calvin was inerrant. And once again, I'm not arguing for Calvinism, or any "ism." I'm arguing for orthodox (small o) Christianity, the same faith Paul argued for.

If Calvinists DID NOT consider themselves beyond reproof or inerrant, then they would readily agree with the word of God which says in simplicity that God has chosen us to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth..

Although that's obviously not the case with Calvinists... they continue to preach that God chose them unconditionally.. because that's what Calvinism teaches..

Simple logic.. Calvin trumps Christ every time..

John 5:21
For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

How about this one...

God has chosen you to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth..

Isn't this the word of God too..?

So how is that unconditional ?

I mean logically... the bible says that God chose us to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth... but Calvinists say that God chose us UNCONDITIONALLY ?? ?

How is that logical ?

It seems that there is always (ME) at the center of every false teaching. Being picked over others without any regard for actions declares that God just made YOU BETTER, that is coming from the flesh and really stinks. The question no eliteist can answer is, what is the proof that YOU are one of the elect? You feel that you are one of the elect so you are...hey Hitler felt the same thing. Real christians have had a salvation experience and that is why they believe they are saved.

AMEN Sam... it's really all about being S P E C I A L regardless of which false teaching it is..

Simple logic. Eventide trumps Jesus every time.

John 5:21
For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.

This is typically what Calvinists try to do.. isn't it amazing... they act as if they don't do it and then make a ridiculous statement that others do it.. it is perhaps the most childish and disingenuous tactic I have ever witnessed from a professing Christian..

But I've learned to expect absolutely nothing more than this type of nonsense, because it proves true over and over again..

The verse here speaks of the resurrection of the dead.. and has nothing to do with God choosing us to salvation through sanctification and belief... because ya know why... even the damned are going to be raised from the dead.. but again, it's impossible for any Calvinist to be corrected... so all you'll see in response is some more turn around tactics and nonsense.

LOL@Even.

21For as the Father raiseth up the dead, and quickeneth them; even so the Son quickeneth whom he will.
22For the Father judgeth no man, but hath committed all judgment unto the Son:
23That all men should honour the Son, even as they honour the Father. He that honoureth not the Son honoureth not the Father which hath sent him.
24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.

Nothing to do with salvation?? :screwloose

LOL@Even.

I fell the same way Hitch.. Calvinists like you are a joke.. and a sad one..

Well, even the damned are going to be raised from the dead.. so using your logic here.. they must be saved right ?

I know Hitch.. God chose you unconditionally.. that's what you've been taught and it's literally impossible (even for the word of God) to correct that.

Care to explain how this passage has nothing to do with salvation?

and has nothing to do with God choosing us to salvation through sanctification and belief

How wonderful to be a man/woman so sanctified and full of belief God sees them as worthy of being chosen for salvation! But what do the Scripture say! Is man worthy?

No kidding.. who in their right Christian mind would think that they're worthy of being chosen.. like the Lord Jesus Christ, who IS the chosen one.. ?

Even more crazy than that... WHO in their right Christian mind would claim that God chose them unconditionally when the bible says that He has chosen us to salvation through sanctification of the Spirit and belief of the truth.. ? ?

It's basically a blatant disregard for the truth of God's word... and for what... so that they can maintain some ridicuolus man made claim that God chose them unconditionally..

Tell them what they've won !
